Many Goethe University students are asked to present in English. This workshop asks participants to define a standard for presenters in English and to practice applying it. We begin by analyzing performances on TED.com and identifying the skills on display. We then try to transfer these skills to our own presentation practice. Participants are asked to give at least one shorter presentation and one 10-minute presentation. Participants may use existing presentations or develop content specifically for the workshop. Video analysis of final performances will be available. Participants can benefit from feedback as well as gain in-depth experience in presenting in English.
